in water there is certainty:
it knows what and how it is
easliy defined
in books and
scientific minds

bound in bonds electric
with truth,
droplets singeing
upraised palms
[from god above]

moments like droplets,
fall clearly through our hands;
our cloudy eyes
thick with rose-hued glasses
see worlds and faces and things

we strain against our clothing
towards this water
uncut with colour,
but go to bed with darkness
